At IforItaly we have spent the last twelve years travelling around Abruzzo, making new discoveries all the time and still there is much to discover about this amazing region.
Abruzzo known to Italians as the 'green heart' of Italy boasts three National Parks with 33% of its territory under environmental protection. There are numerous wildlife parks and WWF centres.
Abruzzo offers a varied landscape from breathtaking views and Mountains to beautiful sandy beaches that have been voted amongst 'The Sunday Times' top ten beaches in Europe. A region for food lovers, the cuisine of Abruzzo is considered to be the best Italy has to offer.

Photographers be prepared: the views are breathtaking, Olive groves and vineyards go on as far as the eye can see, covering rolling hills dotted with quaint little farms and villages. This private home is situated on a large farming estate, during the summer the owner rents rooms in her separate villa. This pretty villa however is tranquil and well separated from the main house by trees, a patio and the swimming pool. The interior is simple and comfortable, the swimming pool is shared with the guests of the villa. There are stables on the grounds and horse riding is also available.
